After over a year the Shire have upheld the recommendations by the Heritage Advisor and the illegal and incorrect name plaques, and noticeboard, in the cemetery must be removed.
Now one hopes the external noticeboard suggested will have the correct information displayed.
The Planning Permit for the cemetery also states all future monuments be in accordance with a strict set of designs. One would hope the Trust realise these may only be erected BY THE FAMILIES if the grave can be identified.
I will state again, it is the duty of the Trust to get these locations correct, not by guesswork but from proven documentary evidence.
